Lucas Brode has nearly a decade of experience in music education, teaching through private music schools and stores, as well as via in-home tutoring throughout New York & Connecticut. Although his main professional focus is as a jazz, rock, and experimental guitarist & composer, Lucas teaches in all styles and skill levels on guitar, bass, drums & percussion, plus introductory piano and ukulele, group performance & improvisation, composing/songwriting and recording technology. Lucas’ teaching approach varies depending upon the student, but by using music that the student already knows and loves as examples of technique and fundamental music theory, he creates a productive and enjoyable learning experience. Lucas’ students have gone on to perform professionally and enroll in programs at institutions like New York University and Berklee College of Music.
